Balamani Pillay October 28, 1938 - January 28, 2021

Balamani was born in 1938, in Penang, Rakiraki. She attended Penang Sangam School and later attended Marist Convent Catholic School in Nadi.

She then went on to complete nursing training and worked at various hospitals in Fiji.

Bala immigrated to New Zealand in 1987 with her daughter Sheron. Her sons Sanjay and Ranjay joined her a few years later.

Through shear hard work and determination, Bala was able to successfully establish herself  in Hamilton, New Zealand.

After completing further studies  she registered  as a nurse and worked at Waikato hospital for several years.

She leaves behind three loving children, Sanjay, Ranjay vand Sheron, son in law Michael Anderson and  grandchildren Liam and Dyani.

May she rest in Peace .
