Sarwan Kumar Lochan March 25, 1955 - July 22, 2021

Sarwan Kumar, 66, left us on 22^nd July 2021.Sarwan was born on 1^st March 1955 in Nasau Valley Road, Sigatoka, Fiji to Lakshmi and Ram Lochan. He was one

of 10 children with 7 sisters; Kala Narayan, Usha Lochan, Chandra Lal, Lata Wilkinson, Madhu Marshall, Prakash Tamkal and Sudha Hunt and 2 brothers; Naren ‘Muna’ Lochan and Satrohan ‘Binder’ Lochan.

He was a farmer and a market vendor in Fiji. He married Nirmala Devi Verma in 1980 and had 3 children, Shelley Saleshni, Sonu Raina and Siddhant Lochan.

The family moved to New Zealand in 1999, prior to the 2000 coup and settled in Auckland. Sarwan worked in construction and later providing Fiji Indian catering to the Fijian Indian community.

He is survived by his wife Nirmala and 3 children, Shelley, Raina and Sid.

Sarwan will be sadly missed by his:

Sisters: Prakash, Madhu, Usha, Lata, Sudha and their families.

Brother: Binder and family.

Jiten Muna’s son, Kala’s children, Chandra’s son, Nirmala’s brother; Bhai, Vinod, Prakash and Dinesh’s families.

And all of his relatives, friends and companions.
