Arvind was born in Mumbai. He was the only son of Shrikrishna and Prabhavati Pradhan. Arvind Shrikrishna Pradhan was the eldest of four siblings; Late Doc Anuradha Chitnis (baby),Vijay Dhighe (Dolly) & Shama Pradhan.
His life long partner has been Pramila Singh since the late 1980’s. Arvind graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture with Honors at the Royal Institute of Mumbai.
He studied his post graduate in Architecture in England during 1957-1960. He became a registered architect and was one of the first in NZ in those times.
He then went back to India in 1960 till 1962. Once he settled in NZ, he began his career with Fletcher Challenge where he was a senior architect in the design department. He enjoyed his time there from the early 1960’s – till 1994.
He then began his own private consultancy in 1995.
Arvind was passionate about fishing, horse racing , betting, travelling and always enjoyed building as side line projects.
He enjoyed a drop or two of fine wine and had a true passion for whiskey and listening to Ghazals. Of course he shared many of his life long passions and adventures with Pramila.
Arvind will be sadly missed by Pramila and his Sister Shama and all other family members and friends.
