Dewendra Datt was born 24 November 1932 in Nadi, Fiji and immigrated toNew Zealand in 2006.
He was the eldest son of 11 children to Ram Suchit and Subhaga Devi. He married Savritti Devi and had 9 children.
He was a devoted husband and father who lived a simple, humble and spiritual life.
